This Sheet Pan Pork Chops dinner is more than just a recipe; it’s a strategic approach to weeknight cooking that champions convenience, flavor, and holistic nutrition. Here are compelling reasons why this meal is poised to become a beloved staple in your home:

  • Unmatched One-Pan Efficiency: The most celebrated aspect of this dish is its ingenious simplicity – an entire, well-rounded meal cooked on a single baking sheet! Envision tender, perfectly seasoned pork chops, glistening with a savory glaze, alongside golden-brown, crispy parmesan potatoes and bright, tender-crisp green beans, all emerging from the oven at precisely the same moment. This ultimate convenience means minimal active cooking time and, most importantly, a significantly reduced pile of dishes, granting you precious extra moments to unwind and savor your evening. To elevate the experience further with minimal effort, consider adding a batch of warm yeast-free dinner rolls to your table.
  • Streamlined Preparation for Busy Lifestyles: Don’t let the exquisite taste and satisfying presentation fool you; the preparation for this meal is remarkably straightforward. The core of the effort involves quickly whisking together a vibrant and flavor-packed marinade for the pork chops. Following this, it’s merely a matter of tossing the fresh potatoes and green beans with their respective seasonings. Once everything is arranged on your sheet pan, the oven takes over, transforming simple ingredients into a gourmet-worthy meal. It’s the quintessential recipe for those frantic weeknights when you crave a hearty, homemade dinner without sacrificing hours to elaborate cooking.
  • A Powerhouse of Essential Nutrients: This Sheet Pan Pork Chops meal not only delights the taste buds but also provides a robust nutritional profile. Pork is an exceptional source of vital nutrients that are often more challenging to obtain adequately from exclusively plant-based diets. Each serving is densely packed with crucial elements such as Vitamin B12, essential for energy metabolism and nervous system health; bioavailable iron, critical for oxygen transport in the blood; and zinc, a key player in immune function and cellular growth. Moreover, pork contributes essential fatty acids, high-quality complete protein necessary for muscle repair and growth, selenium, a potent antioxidant, and choline, important for brain health and memory. This comprehensive nutritional boost ensures you feel sustained, energized, and vibrant, making it a truly wholesome meal.
  • Irresistible Flavor Harmony: The star flavor of this dish truly shines through its exquisite honey-garlic balsamic marinade. This captivating blend infuses the pork chops with an unparalleled sweet and tangy depth that perfectly harmonizes with the natural richness of the pork. Simultaneously, the potatoes develop a delightful caramelization and an addictively crispy exterior, thanks to a generous coating of savory Parmesan cheese and aromatic garlic. The green beans, in turn, retain a pleasant snap, seasoned to perfection to complement the other elements. Each component of this sheet pan creation contributes to a symphony of flavors and textures, promising a culinary experience that will impress even the most discerning palates.
  • Incredible Versatility and Customization: This recipe is wonderfully adaptable, inviting you to tailor it to your family’s preferences and whatever fresh ingredients you have on hand. Whether your preference leans towards bone-in or boneless pork chops, the instructions are flexible to accommodate both. The green beans can effortlessly be swapped for other quick-cooking vegetables like tender asparagus spears, hearty broccoli florets, colorful bell peppers, or robust Brussels sprouts. For a subtle yet delicious change, even the potatoes can be substituted with sweet potatoes, offering a distinct sweetness and nutritional boost. This inherent versatility ensures that this Sheet Pan Pork Chops dinner can be enjoyed repeatedly without ever feeling routine, making it a truly dynamic and indispensable recipe.

Ingredient Notes and Expert Tips for Optimal Flavor

Understanding the role of each ingredient and incorporating a few expert tips will ensure your Sheet Pan Pork Chops turn out perfectly every time. Here’s a detailed guide to what you’ll need and how to get the best results:

  • Pork Chops: The centerpiece of this magnificent sheet pan dinner! You have the flexibility to choose either bone-in or boneless pork chops. For bone-in chops, aim for a thickness of at least one inch; these tend to remain exceptionally juicy and cook more consistently alongside the potatoes. If you prefer boneless pork chops, ensure they are also at least one inch thick to prevent them from drying out during roasting. Thinner chops will cook significantly faster, so careful monitoring and timing adjustments will be crucial. Bone-in chops often synchronize their cooking duration with the potatoes more seamlessly due to their slightly longer cook time.
  • Dijon Mustard: This ingredient acts as a sophisticated flavor enhancer for pork! I consistently integrate some form of mustard whenever I prepare pork. Its distinctive sharp, tangy, and subtly spicy notes beautifully complement and amplify the savory essence of pork. A small amount of Dijon mustard in the marinade introduces a delightful complexity and a vibrant “pop” of flavor. Should you find yourself without Dijon, a modest pinch of ground mustard powder can offer a similar underlying flavor, though the overall texture and intensity will vary.
  • Balsamic Vinegar: The quality of your balsamic vinegar truly makes a difference here. While there’s no need to splurge on an artisanal, aged variety, selecting a good quality balsamic will significantly elevate the marinade with its rich, nuanced sweetness and pleasant tang. It’s instrumental in creating a beautiful glaze and contributing a profound depth of flavor to the pork chops.
  • Olive Oil: Our preferred choice is extra virgin olive oil, valued for its delicate fruity notes and myriad health benefits. It plays a crucial role in tenderizing the pork, distributing the aromatic flavors of the marinade, and ensuring that your vegetables roast to golden perfection without sticking to the pan.
  • Honey: Indispensable for crafting that iconic sweet and savory “honey garlic” pork chop profile! Honey imparts a wonderful, natural sweetness and a desirable stickiness that caramelizes beautifully when roasted, creating enticingly browned edges. If honey isn’t an option, pure maple syrup serves as an excellent substitute, offering a similar sweetness with its own unique, comforting notes.
  • Garlic Cloves: For the most vibrant and authentic flavor in both the marinade and the roasted vegetables, freshly minced garlic is absolutely essential. Whenever possible, steer clear of pre-minced garlic in a jar, as its flavor potency simply cannot compare to the pungent, fresh taste of garlic minced right before use. Garlic is the aromatic heart of this entire dish.
  • Potatoes: We highly recommend using petite gold potatoes or red potatoes. These varieties are ideal because they roast up beautifully, developing a wonderfully crispy exterior while maintaining a tender, fluffy interior. Ensure they are cut into uniform, bite-sized pieces to guarantee even cooking throughout. For a delicious variation, sweet potatoes can be used, offering a sweeter profile and a slightly different, softer texture. Uniformity in potato size is key for consistent roasting.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese is a game-changer for the potatoes and green beans. It creates an irresistible savory, salty, and slightly nutty crust that crisps up beautifully in the oven, adding a fantastic textural contrast. For optimal results, avoid the pre-grated Parmesan found in canisters, as it often contains anti-caking agents that hinder proper melting and crisping.
  • Green Beans: Fresh green beans are paramount for their appealing vibrant color and delightful crisp-tender texture when roasted. Remember to trim the tough ends for the best eating experience. If green beans aren’t your preference, or you wish to experiment, slender asparagus spears or sturdy broccoli florets make excellent, equally delicious substitutes that cook within a similar timeframe and pair wonderfully with the existing flavors.
  • Salt and Pepper: These fundamental seasonings are critical for enhancing all the other flavors. Use sea salt for a cleaner, more pronounced taste and freshly ground black pepper for its superior aroma and a subtle, warming kick. Always season generously, but taste and adjust as desired; proper seasoning truly brings this dish to life.

Step-By-Step Instructions: Crafting Your Perfect Sheet Pan Pork Chops

Creating this remarkably satisfying one-pan meal is surprisingly straightforward. Follow these detailed, easy-to-understand steps to ensure you achieve perfectly juicy pork chops, irresistibly crispy potatoes, and vibrant, tender green beans every single time:

Honey garlic balsamic marinade being thoroughly whisked in a small white bowl, ready for the pork chops.
Step 1: Preparing the flavorful honey-garlic balsamic marinade.

Step 1: Prepare the Flavorful Marinade. In a small mixing bowl, combine all the luscious marinade ingredients: the olive oil, fragrant Dijon mustard, sweet honey, tangy balsamic vinegar, freshly minced garlic cloves, a generous pinch of sea salt, and a dash of freshly ground pepper. Whisk these components thoroughly until they are perfectly emulsified and well combined. This honey-garlic balsamic concoction is the secret to infusing your pork chops with incredible depth of flavor and ensuring they remain beautifully moist throughout the roasting process.

Bone-in pork chops placed in a plastic bag, fully coated with the honey-garlic marinade and ready to rest.
Step 2: Marinating the pork chops to tenderize and infuse flavor.

Step 2: Marinate the Pork Chops for Maximum Flavor. Carefully place your pork chops into a shallow dish or a durable, resealable plastic bag. Pour the freshly prepared marinade over the pork chops, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Allow the pork to marinate at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes. If your plans permit a longer marination (up to 2-4 hours is ideal), place the chops in the refrigerator. Crucially, if refrigerated, remember to let them sit out on the counter for about 15-20 minutes before cooking. This crucial step brings the meat closer to room temperature, promoting more even cooking and preventing the pork from seizing up when introduced to the hot oven.

Quartered petite potatoes in a mixing bowl, generously coated with grated parmesan, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Seasoning the potatoes for a crispy, cheesy crust.

Step 3: Prepare and Season the Potatoes. Begin by preheating your oven to a robust 425°F (220°C). As your oven warms, wash and meticulously cut your petite gold or red potatoes into uniform, bite-sized pieces. In a spacious mixing bowl, toss these potato pieces generously with 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, ¼ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, 1 clove of minced garlic, and about ½ teaspoon each of sea salt and freshly ground pepper, adjusting to your taste. Ensure every potato piece is evenly coated; this cheese coating is key to developing that wonderfully crispy, golden crust.

Seasoned red potatoes spread in a single, even layer across a large baking sheet, ready for roasting.
Step 4: Arranging potatoes on the sheet pan for optimal crispiness.

Step 4: Arrange Potatoes and Begin Roasting. For a hassle-free cleanup, consider lining a large, sturdy baking sheet with parchment paper. Carefully arrange the seasoned potatoes in a single, even layer across the entire surface of the sheet pan. It is absolutely crucial to avoid overcrowding; ample space allows for proper air circulation, which is essential for achieving that coveted crispiness rather than steaming. Place the sheet pan into your preheated oven and let them roast for an initial period of approximately 20-25 minutes. This preliminary baking time gives the potatoes a vital head start, as they typically require more cooking time than the pork chops and green beans.

Step 5: Potatoes reaching a golden-brown hue, ready for the next additions.

Step 5: Continue Roasting Potatoes and Season Green Beans. After the initial 20-25 minutes of roasting, your potatoes should be partially cooked through and just beginning to develop a lovely golden-brown color and slight crispness. The exact timing here is somewhat flexible, depending on the thickness of your chosen pork chops and whether they are bone-in or boneless, as the remaining cooking will occur simultaneously with the pork. While the potatoes are continuing their journey, shift your focus to the green beans. In a separate bowl, toss the trimmed fresh green beans thoroughly with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, an additional 1-2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese, and season generously with salt and pepper to taste. This ensures they are perfectly seasoned and primed to join the sheet pan.

Step 6: Seasoned green beans, anticipating their perfect roast.

Step 6: Integrate Green Beans and Pork Chops onto the Pan. This is the exciting moment where your complete meal truly begins to take shape! Carefully remove the sheet pan, now laden with its partially roasted potatoes, from the oven. Gently push the potatoes to one side of the pan or redistribute them slightly to create ample space. Now, arrange the marinated pork chops on the newly cleared section of the pan. Evenly scatter the seasoned green beans around both the pork and the potatoes. Reiterate the importance of maintaining a single layer for all ingredients, ensuring they are not overlapping excessively. This critical step promotes even roasting, uniform cooking, and that irresistible crispiness we’re aiming for.

Step 7: The complete sheet pan meal assembled, poised for its final bake.

Step 7: Final Baking Phase for Pork Chops and Green Beans. Return the fully loaded sheet pan to the preheated oven for the concluding phase of cooking. Please note that the exact cooking duration will vary based on the specific type and thickness of your pork chops:

  • For Bone-In Pork Chops: If you are using bone-in chops, continue to cook for an additional 18-20 minutes. The pork is perfectly cooked when its internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C), as measured with an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chop, avoiding the bone. The green beans should simultaneously achieve a delightful tender-crisp texture.
  • For Boneless Pork Chops: Boneless chops cook more rapidly, making precise timing crucial to avoid over-drying. In this scenario, after the initial potato bake, first add *only* the seasoned green beans to the pan and roast for 5 minutes. Then, introduce the boneless pork chops to the pan and continue baking for another 10-12 minutes, or until the pork also registers an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

It’s important to remember that pork cooked to 145°F (63°C) is perfectly safe and typically retains a slight blush of pink in the center, which is indicative of a juicy, tender chop. For those desiring an extra layer of crispiness for the potatoes, you can carefully broil the entire pan for the last 2-3 minutes. However, stay vigilant during this step, as broiling can quickly transition from perfectly golden to unfortunately burnt.

Step 8: The Sheet Pan Pork Chops meal, perfectly cooked and ready to rest.

Step 8: Allow Pork to Rest and Serve Promptly. Once your sheet pan emerges from the oven, remove it immediately. This final step is paramount: allow the pork chops to rest directly on the pan for at least 5 minutes before you even consider slicing or serving. This vital resting period enables the meat’s juices to redistribute evenly throughout the chops, guaranteeing an incredibly tender, moist, and flavorful experience. Skipping this step often results in juices escaping onto the cutting board, leading to a drier chop. After resting, serve your complete and satisfying meal without delay!

Expert Recipe Tips for Consistent Success

Achieving perfectly cooked, juicy sheet pan pork chops with crispy sides every single time is simple with these essential additional tips. Incorporating these practices will elevate your cooking and ensure consistently delicious results:

  • The Indispensable Meat Thermometer: This is, without a doubt, the most critical tool for cooking pork chops accurately. An instant-read meat thermometer is your ultimate ally in the kitchen! Pork cuts such as tenderloin and chops should invariably be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). At this precise temperature, they are not only perfectly safe to consume but will also often exhibit a slight, delicate blush of pink in the center, which is the hallmark of maximum juiciness and tenderness. Always prioritize internal temperature over visual cues to avoid the most common error: overcooking, which inevitably leads to dry, tough pork.
  • Diligent Monitoring of Cooking Times: While this recipe provides general guidelines, actual cooking times are highly variable. They depend significantly on the thickness of your pork chops, whether they are boneless or bone-in, and even your specific oven’s calibration. Therefore, it is crucial to keep a vigilant eye on the oven, particularly during the final 10-15 minutes of cooking. Begin checking the internal temperature of the pork around the minimum recommended cooking time to preempt any possibility of overcooking.
  • Avoid Overcrowding the Baking Sheet: For optimal browning, caramelization, and coveted crispiness, it is absolutely essential that all your ingredients are spread out in a single layer on the baking sheet, with sufficient space between each piece. If your single sheet pan appears too densely packed, do not hesitate to use two separate baking sheets. Overcrowding will trap steam, causing your vegetables and pork to steam rather than roast, preventing them from developing that desirable golden-brown exterior and crispy texture.
  • Embrace Parchment Paper for Easy Cleanup: Lining your baking sheet with parchment paper is a highly recommended practice. It offers a dual benefit: not only does it prevent any ingredients from sticking to the pan, but it also transforms cleanup into an incredibly swift and effortless task. This small step significantly enhances the overall convenience, which is a major appeal of sheet pan dinners!
  • Bring Pork to Room Temperature Before Cooking: As reiterated in the step-by-step instructions, allowing your pork chops to rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before they enter the oven (after marinating, if applicable) is a small but impactful step. This practice helps the meat cook more evenly from edge to center. Introducing cold meat directly into a hot oven often results in uneven cooking, where the exterior may be overcooked while the interior remains undercooked.
  • Achieve Extra Crispy Potatoes: If you adore potatoes with an extra-crispy exterior, consider flipping them once halfway through their initial roasting phase to ensure all sides get some contact with the hot pan. For an ultimate crispy finish, after the pork is fully cooked and has rested, you can carefully place the entire sheet pan under the broiler for a brief 2-3 minutes. Exercise extreme caution during this step, as potatoes can transition from perfectly golden to regrettably burnt in mere seconds!
  • The Non-Negotiable Resting Period: Absolutely do not bypass the resting step for the pork chops! Allowing them to rest for 5-10 minutes after being removed from the oven is critical. This period provides time for the muscle fibers to relax and reabsorb all the delicious internal juices. The result is significantly more tender, moist, and flavorful chops. Cutting into the pork immediately after cooking will cause those invaluable juices to escape onto your cutting board, leaving you with a drier piece of meat.

Storage and Reheating Instructions for Leftovers

This delightful Sheet Pan Pork Chops meal holds up beautifully as leftovers, often tasting just as fantastic the next day! Here’s how to properly store and reheat your delicious components:

Refrigerator Storage: Any leftover pork chops, potatoes, and green beans should be transferred to an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For optimal quality and to maintain the individual textures of each component, I highly recommend storing the pork, potatoes, and green beans in separate containers rather than mixed together. This approach prevents the potatoes from becoming soggy and allows each item to be reheated to its best potential.

Freezer Storage: To extend the life of your leftovers, you can freeze them. First, allow the cooked meal to cool completely to room temperature. Then, transfer the components into freezer-safe airtight containers or individual freezer bags. This meal can be safely frozen for up to 3 months. Freezing in single-serve portions is a smart strategy for convenient meal prep, providing quick and easy healthy meals throughout your busy week.

Reheating Instructions:

  • From the Refrigerator: For the best possible results, aiming to restore crispiness to the potatoes and juiciness to the pork, reheat your leftovers in either the oven or an air fryer. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pork, potatoes, and green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet and heat for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until everything is thoroughly warmed through and the potatoes have regained some of their desirable crispness. While individual portions can also be reheated in the microwave, be aware that the potatoes may lose some of their crispy texture.
  • From the Freezer: Before reheating, it is essential to thaw your frozen leftovers overnight in the refrigerator. Once fully thawed, proceed to reheat them using the same oven or air fryer method as you would for refrigerated leftovers, which will yield the superior texture and flavor.

Creative Variations & Perfect Serving Suggestions

One of the most appealing aspects of this Sheet Pan Pork Chops recipe is its incredible adaptability. Don’t hesitate to experiment and unleash your culinary creativity with different ingredients and flavor profiles!

Delicious Variations to Try:

  • Alternative Vegetables: While green beans are fantastic, feel free to swap them out for other quick-cooking vegetables. Excellent choices include tender asparagus, robust broccoli florets, colorful bell peppers (sliced), hearty Brussels sprouts (halved), or even chunky pieces of red onion. The key is to ensure they are cut into pieces that will cook in roughly the same timeframe as the pork.
  • Enhanced Herbaceousness: For an extra layer of aromatic complexity, scatter a few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme directly onto the sheet pan during the roasting process. A final flourish of fresh chopped parsley or chives just before serving will add a beautiful pop of color and a burst of freshness.
  • A Touch of Spice: If you appreciate a little heat in your meal, incorporate a pinch of red pepper flakes into the pork marinade or a dash of cayenne pepper into the potato seasoning. Adjust the quantity to match your preferred level of spiciness.
  • Bright Citrus Finish: A light squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the entire finished dish right before serving can work wonders, brightening all the flavors and adding a zesty zing that cuts through the richness.
  • Sweetener Swap: As previously mentioned, pure maple syrup is a fantastic and often preferred alternative to honey in the marinade, imparting its own unique autumnal sweetness.

Complementary Serving Suggestions:

This sheet pan meal is truly a self-contained dinner, offering a harmonious balance of protein, complex carbohydrates, and essential vegetables. However, if you’re inclined to further enrich the meal or simply add a little something extra, consider these delightful accompaniments:

  • Crisp Side Salad: A simple, crisp green salad dressed with a light vinaigrette offers a refreshing textural and flavor contrast to the heartiness of the pork and potatoes.
  • Rustic Crusty Bread: Serve with slices of warm, crusty bread or baguette. It’s perfect for soaking up any of those delectable pan juices and rounding out the meal.
  • Whole Grains: For an additional boost of nutritious grains, a side of fluffy quinoa, brown rice, or even couscous makes a wholesome and satisfying addition.
  • Classic Apple Sauce: A timeless pairing with pork, a small side of homemade or high-quality store-bought applesauce provides a lovely sweet and tart counterpoint that complements the pork beautifully.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Sheet Pan Pork Chops

To ensure your cooking experience is as smooth as possible and to answer any common queries, here are some frequently asked questions regarding this Sheet Pan Pork Chops recipe:

Can I use frozen pork chops for this recipe?
Yes, you can use frozen pork chops, but it is absolutely crucial to ensure they are fully thawed before you begin marinating and cooking. The best method for thawing is to place them in the refrigerator overnight. Attempting to cook frozen pork chops directly will lead to uneven cooking, potentially tough results, and can compromise the overall texture and juiciness of the meat.
What if I don’t have Dijon mustard on hand?
While Dijon mustard imparts a unique and desirable tang that truly enhances the pork, you can substitute it. A small amount of classic yellow mustard can work in a pinch, or you can use a tiny pinch of ground mustard powder (start with about ¼ teaspoon and taste-test) in the marinade. Keep in mind that the flavor profile will be slightly altered but will still be delicious.
Can I prepare parts of this meal ahead of time?
Absolutely! The pork chops can be marinated in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours in advance, which helps tenderize them and deepens the flavor. However, it’s best to season and toss the potatoes and green beans just before you’re ready to roast them. This prevents the vegetables from releasing too much moisture and becoming watery, which would hinder their ability to crisp up beautifully in the oven. This partial prep strategy is excellent for minimizing active cooking time on a busy weeknight.
How do I ensure my potatoes are truly crispy?
Achieving perfectly crispy potatoes involves a few key factors: Firstly, ensure you do not overcrowd the baking pan; allow plenty of space for air circulation. Secondly, cut the potatoes into uniform, bite-sized pieces so they cook evenly. Thirdly, toss them thoroughly with olive oil and a generous amount of Parmesan cheese. Finally, giving them a head start in the oven before adding the other ingredients is crucial. For an ultimate crispy finish, a quick broil for 2-3 minutes at the very end can make a big difference, but watch them diligently as they can burn quickly.
Is it safe to eat pork with a pink center?
Yes, it is perfectly safe! The USDA recommends cooking whole cuts of pork, such as pork chops, to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), followed by a mandatory 3-minute rest period. At this temperature, it is entirely normal for pork to have a slight pink hue in the center. This indicates a perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender chop, not undercooked meat. Always rely on an instant-read meat thermometer to verify doneness, ensuring both safety and optimal texture.

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 T balsamic vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ – 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

For the Potatoes:

  • 1-2 T olive oil
  • ¼ c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp sea salt and pepper, adjust as desired

For the Green Beans:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1-2 T grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare Marinade & Marinate Pork: In a small bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients (3 T olive oil, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 2 T honey, 1 T balsamic vinegar, 2 minced garlic cloves, ½ – 1 tsp sea salt, ½ tsp pepper). Toss the pork chops with the marinade. Allow to marinate for about 30 minutes at room temperature. If marinating longer, place in the refrigerator, but bring back to room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  • 2. Preheat Oven & Prepare Potatoes: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, toss the 1½ lb bite-sized potato pieces with 1-2 T olive oil, ¼ c grated Parmesan cheese, 1 minced garlic clove, and ½ tsp sea salt and pepper.
  • 3. Initial Potato Roast: Arrange the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a large baking sheet (lined with parchment paper if desired). Bake for about 20-25 minutes. This timing depends on your pork chop type, as the pork and green beans will be added later.
  • 4. Prepare Green Beans: While potatoes are roasting, toss the 1 lb trimmed fresh green beans with 1 T olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, 1-2 T grated Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5. Add Pork & Green Beans (Bone-In Chops): If using bone-in pork chops, remove the sheet pan from the oven after the potatoes’ initial bake. Add the marinated bone-in pork chops and the seasoned green beans to the pan. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 18-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) and green beans are tender-crisp.
  • 6. Add Pork & Green Beans (Boneless Chops): If using boneless pork chops, remove the sheet pan from the oven after the potatoes’ initial bake. Add *only* the seasoned green beans to the pan and cook for 5 minutes. Then, add the marinated boneless pork chops and cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • 7. Optional Crispy Finish & Rest: For extra crispy potatoes, you can broil the pan for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the pork to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving. This ensures juicy, tender results.

Notes

Use a Meat Thermometer: Always cook pork chops to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). A slight blush of pink is perfectly safe and indicates a juicy chop. Overcooking leads to dry pork.

Adjust Cook Time: Cooking times are estimates and will vary based on the thickness of your pork chops and whether they are bone-in or boneless. Keep a close eye on your oven and use a thermometer for accuracy.

Don’t Overcrowd: Ensure ingredients are in a single layer for proper roasting. Use two sheet pans if necessary.
